Is this course right for you?

The course is built for learners who need systematic development rather than a casual conversation course.

This course is for you if you want to

  • strengthen grammar and vocabulary;
  • communicate confidently beyond everyday topics;
  • develop greater accuracy and flexibility;
  • prepare for more demanding C1-level study.

By the end of the programme, you will work towards being able to

  • speak more naturally and confidently;
  • express and support complex ideas;
  • understand longer and more demanding input;
  • use vocabulary and grammar with greater precision.
This is a structured language programme, not a casual conversation course.

What you will develop

Each area is developed through course input, practice, recycling and teacher feedback.

Vocabulary and phraseology

Collocations, phrasal verbs, idiomatic language, register and precise word choice.

Grammar and accuracy

Complex structures developed through meaningful spoken and written use.

Speaking and interaction

Purposeful speaking tasks, discussion, repair strategies and teacher correction.

Integrated skills

Reading and listening provide input for discussion, vocabulary work and writing.

What every unit includes

Each unit combines vocabulary, grammar, integrated skills, speaking, writing and systematic revision. These are programme components, not separate one-off modules.

Topic vocabulary, collocations, phrasal verbs, idiomatic language and register. Topics include relationships, work, culture, health, society, technology and travel.

Grammar is practised through meaningful use: complex clauses, tense control, modality, discourse markers, emphasis and sentence variety.

Discussions, presentations, problem-solving tasks and follow-up correction help students speak with greater range and control.

Longer texts and audio/video input support vocabulary development, discussion, inference, note-taking and written response.

Both tracks include written feedback on submitted course assignments. Optimal Track includes additional dedicated Writing Development sessions.

Language is revisited through revision cycles, progress checks, teacher feedback and individual recommendations.

FAQ

Practical details about levels, tracks, writing, homework and certificates.

Placement determines whether you join the B2 pathway or the C1 pathway.

This depends on placement results, group availability and whether the necessary first-semester material has already been covered.

Homework is expected between lessons. Optimal Track requires a higher weekly workload because there are more live sessions and more consolidation.

Both tracks include written feedback on submitted course assignments. Optimal Track includes additional dedicated Writing Development sessions.

Standard is for steady weekly development. Optimal adds a second weekly lesson for greater continuity, more practice and faster consolidation.

A course certificate may be issued upon successful completion of the programme requirements.

Karina’s General English course is the best group course I have taken, largely thanks to her ability to explain clearly, make students feel comfortable with mistakes, and engage everyone in discussion. The lessons were friendly but intensive, with substantial homework and excellent speaking materials for additional practice.
